Flip Flop Album

I am now at the stage of making Thank You cards. Yes I know is a bit late but better than never. As many of you know that my mummy has not been well hence I have been flying back and fourth since July last year.

I am not going to rush my way into making them, I want to make them one by one and personalised it to each of my special friend and family that made our day so special.

This one is off to Adelaide today, is for Andrew’s parent, they did not come to our wedding in KL but their gift arrived after we return from my wedding trip. It was really nice of Alan and Hazel to be thinking of us on our special day. As their grandchildren; Lauren and Sean were one of my flower girl and Paige boys, I thought it would be good to put plenty of their pictures in them. After all which grandparents does not like their grandchildren’s pictures.

As hubby’s sister and Andrew are going down to Adelaide for Easter hence I need to get it done so that they can bring it down and because is hand delivered hence bulkiness will not be an issue.

I saw this Flip Flop album tutorial and decided to go with this. I like it how I can insert multiple pictures. I hope Alan and Hazel will like this little token of appreciation from us.

Leah's March Colour Challenge

Laying out the colour does work as I now have an idea on how to combine the 5 colours; Elegant Eggplant, Lavender Lace, Pixie Pink and Pretty in Pink with complementary colour – Old Olive.

Recipe:

Cardstock: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Lavender Lace and Pixie pink

Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue and Whimsical words

Stamp Pad: Old Olive

Marker: Elegant Eggplant, Pixie Pink and Old Olive – to colour some of the flower on the DSP.

DSP: – not sure which one is it, can someone tell me?

Others: White gel to outline the coloured flower on the DSP.

First Craft Challenge of the year

One of my 2010 resolutions is to enter Leah’s monthly Colour Coach Challenge or any challenge that Leah comes up with. I have missed the last two month due to busy schedule but I have no more excuses as my life has come to an almost normal stage.

Leah’s March challenge was not an easy one; it is really a challenge, I was sitting in my craft space and my mind went blank; not sure what to do and how to do. I knew I am not getting anything done tonight.

But I did not give up, I took the first step, laying all the coloured cardstock and stamp pad on the table so that I can look at it every time I walk in my room and hopefully something strike my mind.

I also pick up a stamp set that I would like to use. Hopefully something will up in my mind very soon.

Flower Pot Card

I tell myself daily that I need to make this flower pot card, I need to do it; I have over and over again watched the video tutorial. Today I finally made it. It was so much fun and so much easier than I thought. Why did I not do it any earlier?

Happy Ten Years Anniversary

A colleague at work asked if I could make her a card; is for her and her partner ten year anniversary. The tenth year of marriage celebration is the first of the major milestone anniversaries. As one celebrate this special 10th wedding anniversary, think about the durability of your commitment to one another for a full decade.

So this is what I came up with, many thanks to Leah, I was looking for inspiration and saw her blog and I felt in love with the coil pop up technique hence used it for this card.

Mummy, I miss You

I am still here; I have wanted to post for days and weeks but just did not get a chance to do so. The last two months has been really hectic for me. Went back to Malaysia for Chinese New Year and got back last friday, back to work on monday with a busy work schedule. Today I Have a little thought to share today.

I was looking through my sent folder today; to look for a particular email and I found emails that I sent to my mummy during last years in July. I had tears in my eyes while reading through those email those we sent each other. Those emails were all in regards to my wedding preparation, the last email was about the hand bouquet, I was sending her pictures of how I like mine to be. Mummy always being motherly, she replied concerning my hand would be too tired if my bouquet is too big.

I miss her so much this moment; miss her motherly voice and her advice. My mummy has always been the pillar of strength is my life and lately I must admit that I am so lost without her word of wisdom. I pray to God for her speedy recovery; pray that she could gain back her voice so that we can talk over the phone.

Window with Tree Trimming

This time I made a little window at the front of the card to show the little ornaments. After i made it, i think the card was a little too small, perhaps i can make it bigger.
